Although I have many disagreements with the Party's national leadership, and doubt (to put it mildly) Griffin's integrity, the overwhelming majority of our membership are without any doubt simply superb. Yesterday evening (Friday 13th March), according to reports carried by the BBC, a group of Searchlight and UAF inspired thugs mounted an unprovoked, and obviously pre planned, attacked on a legitimate BNP election event in South Manchester. Tony Ward, a local BNP activist, was seriously hurt by a hammer wielding thug.

It's also interesting to note that this attack was probably being planned at the same time as the Manchester Police force were sending officers out to intimidate owners of venues booked for democratic and totally legal election campaign events. The 'brownie pointers' at the top of our nation's police forces are clearly turning their officers into the paramilitary arm of the Labour party.

Far from discouraging us, these cowardly attacks on our democratic way of life, will only serve to motivate our activists into democratic action. The party's response to this must be, and I'm sure will be, to increase it's legitimate campaigning, leaving the job of bringing these violent criminals to justice, to the still decent bobby on the beat. The cry leaving every decent citizens lips must be: ' such cowardly intimidation shall not be allowed to stand!'.

In the last few minutes I have been informed by Peter Franzen leader of the Community Action Party in Wigan, based on information provided to him by a prominent member of the SWP in Wigan, that BNP leader Nick Griffin is planning on speaking at a BNP Rally/Public Meeting at the Pure Night Club, Bridgewater Street, Leigh this Friday (13th March) at 7.30pm.
As a former Leigh TUC President, and a prominent socialist activist of over thirty years in the town, I am issuing an urgent appeal to every anti-fascist living within the North West to mobilise to stop this event from taking place, and to come and help us kick Nick Griffin and his nazi scum-bag mates out of of our town.
We've no idea how long this meeting has been planned, and how many BNP thugs he'll be bringing along, indeed for all we know it could be a regional or even national mobilisation for the BNP, so everyone will really need to pull out the stops given the extremely short notice, and help to try and build for the largest possible turnout of anti-fascists if we're at all going to have a chance of stopping the event from taking place.
Anti-fascist forces are being asked to assemble at the Ellesmere pub on St.Helens Road in Leigh at 6.30pm (opposite Bridgewater Street).
Please publicise far and wide.

Heretical Two Finally Get A Hearing
Simon Sheppard and Stephen Whittle have finally gotten their first hearing on their application for political asylum in the United States, after eight months in prison. Most asylum seekers with black or brown skins are routinely given low bail, or simply released into the community, and given a perfunctory court date at which they are politely asked to show up, in the full knowledge that's probably the last that will be seen of them unless and until they commit another crime and are arrested later.
Sheppard and Whittle, however, are Caucasian and dangerous thought criminals to boot, so they have been imprisoned for eight months for the "crime" of asking America to fulfill its promise and let them be free.

"To-day the Heretical Two's asylum hearing proceeded before the U. S. Immigration Judge, Her Honor Judge Rose Peters. Simon Sheppard and Steve Whittle were brought into court in handcuffs and leg irons. (The feds may have been afraid they might try to type.) They presented their own cases, as their attorney, Bruce Leichty, had withdrawn from the case by leave of the Court, since he was not satisfied with the substantial retainer that he had received from friends of Simon and Steve. (The right to counsel in certain courts and certain kinds of cases is a myth, as I myself can testify from personal experience.) The U. S. government was represented by its attorney, Miss Myers.
"The Court heard evidence from Simon and Steve about their experiences at the hands of the British police and Crown Prosecution Service, and also from their English counsel, Adrian Davies, who gave evidence about the relevant provisions of English law (the Public Order Act 1986, as amended) and the English court's assertion of jurisdiction over web pages hosted on a server located in Torrance, California.
"The hearing was conducted in a very fair, courteous and thorough manner, though inevitably Simon and Steve were at some disadvantage, because they are not lawyers, and are moreover being held in prison, where they have had very limited facilities to prepare for the hearing. After a lengthy sitting, the Court adjourned until 1 p.m., West Coast time, on 24th March."

Firstly can I sat that I do not approve of violence except in self defence. The attack above was disgusting and wicked. I hope those responsible are caught and punished.
If you don't mind I'd like to wander off topic in the hope I'll get the ansers I've been looking for from the BNP. For some reason no one wants to answer what I think are perfectly reasonable qxuestions. My questions are based on my reading of the 2005 manifesto, which I've been advised by a BNP member is the fullest policy document you have at present.
Requesting the Electoral Commission step in prevent organisations not contesting elections denigrating condidates or political parties,
Who? Which organisations specifically?
Banning opinion polls three Weeks before election,
What evidence is there that people stampede to the polls when the otherwise wouldn't have bothered because of pre-election opinion polls? Anyway why is it a problem if they do? Surely anything that encourages people to vote is a good thing.
Create a new offence regarding 'the deliberate dissemination of falsehoods for political or financial gain'
How will this work in practice? How will the law be drafted to prevent stifling free speech and political debate? Can you give an example of the type of thing they mean by this? Would it be a falsehood for a politician to argue that his opponents policy will damage the country? Would it be a falsehood to suggest someone wouldn't make a good prime minister?
Arm all British Citizens,
Even the severely mentally ill and unstable? Senile pensioners? Will the right to keep a gun be time limited and require periodic renewal to ensure the owner is fit do so?
500% increase in spending on border controls,
How much does this equate to and how will it be spent exactly. Which aspects of border control will be particularly strengthend?
A Clause 28 style proscription against the promotion of racial integration in schools and the media will be introduced.
Doesn't this restrict free speech? Why are people who believe in racial integration to be denied the right to make their case in the media? Also how is promotion defined? If a teacher were to mention a non-white friend, partner or relative in school could that be defined as promotion of racial integration?
Voluntary Repatriation,
What do the BNP see as the shortcomings of the UK's current assisted repatriation programme? What if people do not wish to leave? How will the land of ethnic orgin be established in the case of UK born mixed race citizens?
A one hundred fold increase in drug and alcohol rehabillitation places,
Great but isn't aiming to do this within six months of coming to power unrealistic and how will it be paid for? How much do you anticipate this will cost all in?
Increased pay and interest free mortgages for NHS workers,
Again great but what will this cost and how will the cost be met?
Rebuild the national housing stock,
Fantastic! How much will this cost? How long will it take to implement? How will it be paid for?
Phasing out Income Tax,
So let's get this clear the state is going to increase spending on the NHS, repatriating 'racial foreigners' , rebuild the nations housing stock and abolish income tax? Is this realistic? Where is the money for all this going to come from? Won't putting tax on purely onto expenditure hit low income household harder than the rich and lead to a black market in taxable goods?
Eliminate 'nonsense subjects' from schools
Define nonsense subjects.
School assemblies based on traditional Christian values and worship,
Why? Most folk aren't Christian in this country. Not because of the Muslims but because the shops open on a Sunday and they can't be arsed. Others of course have more principled objections in that they're atheists. Why should they be forced to partipate in religious worship?
Require ideological balance on university faculties,
How will this be enforced and how will ideological imbalance be punished
