Policeman questioned over G20 death should not have been on the force

The police officer questioned over the death of a news vendor during the G20 protests should not have been in the force.
He had retired from the Metropolitan Police with an unresolved disciplinary charge but vetting blunders allowed him to return.
Ian Tomlinson, 47, died after he was hit and pushed by the officer during the G20 protests in April. The policeman has been questioned as part of a manslaughter investigation.
The officer retired sick after a road accident when he was accused of using unnecessary force against a driver. However, he was able to join Surrey Police, and later transfer to the Metropolitan force because the unresolved disciplinary issue was not flagged up during vetting. The Independent Police Complaints Commission would not comment yesterday

I've already seen that Channel 4 program. It has become infamous for: its bad science; and taking comments total out of content. Many of the contributors complained to the broadcasting standards board, after its first transmission, saying that their views had been completely misrepresented; many of those complaints were upheld. Google 'The great global warming swindle' and you'll find a great deal of information (and scientific detail) about how exactly the program was totally misleading. But that was its purpose; to muddy the waters long enough to allow oil companies and Arab governments to make a few hundred billion dollars more before the world final takes action.
Can I suggest once again that you view this video, then check out some of the scientific links it gives.

Britain 'to build £1m jail in Nigeria' for 400 prisoners serving sentences British taxpayers are to provide £1million for a comfortable jail in Nigeria to take convicts whose crimes were committed in the UK.

Villagers turn against monkeys A SOUTH India village that worshipped monkeys, after their numbers increased to more than half the population, are now calling for them to be forced out.
Some of the 800 villagers in Ittagihaal, near Siruguppa, Karnataka, built a temple where they could pray for the 500 primates and perform last rites when they die.
The monkeys even share lunches provided to the local schoolchildren, one villager said.
Despite having been in the village for the past 20 years, the monkeys have not caused any harm.
But some now fear that it will only be a matter of time before someone gets hurt as the population continues to grow. One unsuccessful attempt has even been made to drive out the animals, according to villagers.
One resident said: “The district administration should draw its attention towards this village in wiping out monkeys. Until now they have not caused any major damage to the villagers, but who knows in the coming days.”

Akron police investigate teen mob attack on family
Akron police say they aren't ready to call it a hate crime or a gang initiation.
But to Marty Marshall, his wife and two kids, it seems pretty clear.
It came after a family night of celebrating America and freedom with a fireworks show at Firestone Stadium. Marshall, his family and two friends were gathered outside a friend's home in South Akron.
Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted ''This is our world'' and ''This is a black world'' as they confronted Marshall and his family.
The Marshalls, who are white, say the crowd of teens who attacked them and two friends June 27 on Girard Street numbered close to 50. The teens were all black.
''This was almost like being a terrorist act,'' Marshall said. ''And we allow this to go on in our neighborhoods?''
They said it started when one teen, without any words or warning, blindsided and assaulted Marshall's friend as he stood outside with the others.
When Marshall, 39, jumped in, he found himself being attacked by the growing group of teens.
His daughter, Rachel, 15, who weighs about 90 pounds, tried to come to his rescue. The teens pushed her to the ground.
His wife, Yvonne, pushed their son, Donald, 14, into bushes to keep him protected.
''My thing is,'' Marshall said, ''I didn't want this, but I was in fear for my wife, my kids and my friends. I felt I had to stay out there to protect them, because those guys were just jumping, swinging fists and everything.
''I'm lucky. They didn't break my ribs or bruise my ribs. I thank God, they concentrated on my thick head because I do have one. They were trying to take my head off my spine, basically.''
After several minutes of punches and kicks, the attack ended and the group ran off. The Marshalls' two adult male friends were not seriously hurt.
''I don't think I thought at that moment when I tried to jump in,'' Rachel Marshall said. ''But when I was laying on the ground, I was just scared.''
Marshall was the most seriously injured. He suffered a concussion and multiple bruises to his head and eye. He said he spent five nights in the critical care unit at Akron General Medical Center.
The construction worker said he now fears for his family's safety, and the thousands of dollars in medical bills he faces without insurance.

One Show star Hardeep Singh Kohli has been suspended by the BBC after being accused of sexually pestering a female researcher.
Furious Beeb bosses have axed the comedian from his roving reporter role on the show for six months.
The female researcher lodged her complaint about his behaviour two months ago, we can reveal.
Kohli, 39, who had been regarded as one of the BBC’s rising stars, was hauled in front of bosses who demanded he apologise to the woman.

You ask me to comment on an attempt to censor an Australian website. Let me set the record straight, the right to free speech should only stop at direct incitement to violence to an individual or group. Personally I believe that free speech much include the right to incite hatred (although I would not personally choose to use that right). This extends to my views about the two men sentenced to jail last week in Leeds, for incitement to racial hatred. The way to deal with idiots like these two men is to confront them with evidence and show them up for the fools they are in open debate. Jailing them simply produces martyrs for their ridiculous beliefs.
However getting back to the video you linked to, my question is how did the article define a Jewish company? And using that calculated what percentage of the worlds news organisations met that definition? Were the numbers weighted, ie did News International and some small local newspaper both count as just one organisation. Did they include government news sources ie Chinese news agency.
Finally I must say that I do agree with several of the generic statements, about the harm all religions do, that are made in the video.

NHS tells school children of their "right" to "an orgasm a day"
NHS guidance is advising school pupils that they have a "right" to an enjoyable sex life and that regular sex can be good for their cardiovascular health.
The advice appears in leaflets circulated to parents, teachers and youth workers and is meant to update sex education by telling students about the benefits of enjoyable sex.
The authors of the guidance say that for too long, experts have concentrated on the need for "safe sex" and committed relationships while ignoring the principle reason that many people have sex.
the leaflet has been drawn up by NHS Sheffield, but it also being circulated outside the city.
The leaflet carries the slogan "an orgasm a day keeps the doctor away". It also says: "Health promotion experts advocate five portions of fruit and veg a day and 30 minutes' physical activity three times a week. What about sex or masturbation twice a week?"

I would be willing to bet that there were at least 3000 separate security companies employed by different organisation in London on 7th July 2005. Your idea that one single Israel firm, was responsible for letting the terrorist commit their crimes is nonsense, and simply serves to demonstrate that you are totally removed from reality.

An Israeli security firm has been chosen to provide security for London’s Underground train network.
Verint Systems, a subsidiary of Israel's Comverse Technology announced that Metronet Rail has selected Verint's networked video solution to enhance security of the London Underground, according to an Israel21c report.
After extensive testing of Verint’s networked video system, including pilot installation on selected rail lines, Metronet Rail selected it to be installed on the entire Underground.
The system will enable security personnel to monitor passenger platforms and certain remote portions of the track.
Verint president and CEO Dan Bodner told Israel21c: "We have significant experience working with transportation authorities and are committed to delivering innovative networked video security solutions for the transportation industry.
"Metronet Rail, under a 30 year contract with the UK government, is responsible for maintaining parts of the London Underground's infrastructure. This includes ensuring security in trains, stations, tunnels and bridges.

AFP contacted Visor Consultants, the mayor of the City of London, Scotland Yard, and the transportation authority to ask about the identity of the unnamed partner in the terror exercise.
A likely candidate is an Israeli company called International Consultants on Targeted Security (ICTS) International N.V., an aviation and transportation security firm headed by "former [Israeli] military commanding officers and veterans of government intelligence and security agencies."
Menachem Atzmon, convicted in Israel in 1996 for campaign finance fraud, and his business partner Ezra Harel, took over management of security at Boston's Logan Airport in 1999 through Huntleigh USA, a subsidiary of ICTS. Until his 1996 conviction, Atzmon was president of the Israel Development Fund (IDF), a U.S. tax-exempt foundation funneling money illegally to the Likud party of Sharon and Netanyahu, according to author Anton Chaitkin.
Harel shares the name of Isser Harel, the co-founder of Israel's Mossad and first director of the Shin Bet, the internal security agency.
Atzmon and Harel were majority owners of ICTS. The convicted Likud criminal's [Atzmon] firm was in charge of security at Logan Airport, Chaitkin wrote – inspecting the validity of passports and visas, searching cargo, screening passengers – when two airliners were hijacked from there on Sept. 11, 2001, and demolished the World Trade Center towers in New York.
ICTS also provided security at Newark airport.
At a trade exhibition in June, ICTS presented its "comprehensive security solution for the railroad and public transportation industry, which can be developed, tailored and implemented in a modular manner."
"Was ICTS International, or one of its affiliates, involved in the July 7 terror exercise in London?" AFP asked ICTS spokesperson Petra Snoek at company headquarters in Amstelveen, Holland.
"Herewith I would like to inform you that ICTS International is not operating in the U.K.," Snoek wrote.
But ICTS International does have a subsidiary in Britain called ICTS U.K. Ltd., located in London's Tavistock House South, precisely where the double-decker bus was bombed on July 7.
A receptionist at ICTS U.K. Ltd. said the office was temporarily closed after the bombing due to damage, but that the company was indeed part of ICTS International.
