First time candidate gets 13% support in Morecambe.
Vicky Blain (BNP candidate in the Poulton ward) thanks voters for their support.
.
13% support although not an exclusive vote (as most voters quite natural chose to use all 5 of their votes) is a good result for a ward which the party has not contested before. Well done Vicky!

Please forgive the poor sound quality which is due to the very windy conditions on the sea front in Morecambe earlier today.

Well done Vicky great result indeed.
What the fuck are you going on about Hill. This women didn't get 13 percent of the vote at all she came last out of 9 people so how the hell could she have got 13 percent.
More of your BNP lies I think. You're just trying to put a spin on a massive defeat. The voters of Morecambe rejected the BNP and you know it. Why don't you just fuck off back to Bradford Hill and leave Lancashire alone.
Dear Anonymous (4:58pm),
I didn't claim that Vicky got 13% of the total vote how could she, there were 5 seats up for election with each voter casting a vote for each councillor, but Vicky was standing only for one of the free positions.
The 13% represents the percentage of voters, who cast a valid vote, and voted BNP. At no time did I say that these voters voted exclusively BNP, most used all 5 votes. The 13% figure represents people who wanted at least one BNP councillor on the Town council, and is thus a measure of the party's potential rather than a firm committed supporter. The key word being: potential.
